Hi,
The Alma browser extension places a folder (alma/) directly in my home directory (~/) with no option to change or remove it. This is non-standard behavior—virtually every other application either uses a hidden dotfolder (e.g., ~/.alma) or follows XDG conventions (~/.config/alma).
Having a visible, undeletable folder in my home root is disruptive and inconsiderate of users' file system preferences. Please fix this in an upcoming release by:
Moving the folder to a hidden location (prefix with a dot), or
Following XDG Base Directory conventions.
This is a basic housekeeping issue that significantly impacts user experience.
Thanks, and thanks for making Alma.
